Tankless Water Heaters
Tankless water heaters, also called on-demand water heaters, heat water only when it's needed. Instead of storing hot water in a tank, they use powerful electric elements or gas burners to instantly heat water as it flows through the unit. Many prefer this system because it takes up much less space, is energy efficient, and has endless hot water. However, these appliances do cost more and might require gas or electrical updates in your home. They may also struggle when hot water is used in multiple places at once.
Traditional Water Heaters
A traditional water heater stores a set amount of water that is always heated. In a residence, the water heater is typically 40 to 50 gallons large. These appliances usually are easily installed and easy to find parts for if they should need repairs. However, the hot water supply is limited and the constant task of keeping the water warm does tend to use more energy. We at Apex Plumbing work on all types of these water heaters. Whether you have electric, gas or natural gas heaters, we have experience in each of the areas, and are ready to help you tackle any problem.
